Conway, Jackie

In 1980 I completed a Foundation Art Course at Oxford Brooks.  After that I Studied Fine Art at Bower Ashton in Bristol and since then have continued drawing printing and painting.

I am a member of the Oxford Art Society and the Oxford Printmakers Co-Op.  I have shown my work in Oxfordshire independently and in group exhibitions.  I continue to exhibit in Oxfordshire Artweeks.

The latest images (first six images) were completed at an intense emotional period of my life.  I decided to paint unconsciously and not from my observation.

As a part of this project I ran a series of workshops at the Well-being Centre. We began by drawing a line and just forming an image with no conscious idea as to where it would go.  Then we did a project where we painted a landscape from imagination and which inspired us. Sometimes we produced drawings from our past memories.
