Conway, Jackie

In 1980 I completed my foundation art course at Oxford Polytechnic. The following year I attended Bristol, where I gained a BA Hons degree in Fine Art. Since then I have continued painting, drawing and printmaking. I am a member of the Oxford Art Society and the Oxford Print makers Co-Op, and have shown my work during Artweeks, both as a member of a group, and also as an individual.

I use drawings which I have done from life as a template, from which I then produce watercolours, etchings and oil paintings. Some of the objects are a personal description and study of my environment, which are not about stillness but are about life and movement and changing scenery. I will produce drawings time and time again of the same objects, but from a new angle.
