Oxford Art Society enjoyed a wonderful opening ceremony, with Mark Haddon, award winning author of the ‘Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ who opened the Oxford Art Society Open Exhibition 2019. Mark Haddon is a visual artist as well and has two artworks in the exhibition. Mark also awarded the young artists with their prizes!

First Prize: Lizzie Wheeler: Colours of Cornwall. Monoprint
Second Prize: Suzie Wright: Bird of Paradise. Fabric and thread
Third prize: Laura Eagle: Blue Lagoon. Acrylic.
Congratulations to the prizewinners.

A formal thank you to Harriet Eagle; Exhibitions co-ordinator; (left) from Lucy Stopford, Chairman on behalf of Oxford Art Society for all her hard work.

Relaxing at last after many hectic weeks of organising.

Tom Croft OAS was too tall to pose with the drinks, hence the ‘nose of the wine’ level!
Everyone listening avidly to speeches.

A good time was had by all.
