Angie Hunt

Angie’s oil paintings explore the conflicting feelings of escapism and containment, of wilderness and domesticity. Her oil paintings are imagined landscapes where tiny houses symbolise an escape from life’s noisy demands. On coastal walks she gathers sketches, photos and memories that merge into compositions back in her Cotswold studio. She paints on wood and is interested in materials, with collaged papers, found objects and beachcombings often featuring in her work. 

Angie has shown her work at the RA Summer Exhibition, at Wells Art Contemporary, the ING Discerning Eye and Society of Women Artists at Mall Galleries London; she has 3 times been a finalist at Broadway Arts Festival and won the guest selector prize at Oxford Art Society.
