Claire Drinkwater

I am principally a printmaker, a demanding and inspiring discipline which I have now been practicing for thirty years. Etching is my favourite process, but I also make collagraphs and linoprints, sometimes combining more than one method in one piece of work. I draw inspiration from my surroundings, especially the natural world, experienced both in my garden and out in the wider landscape.

In addition to printmaking, I enjoy drawing and painting, working mostly in mixed media including soft pastel, oil pastel, watercolour, and collage. Recently I have started experimenting with making Artists’ Books – bringing a new dimension to works on paper.
