Gill Heaton

I really enjoy working with oil paints and most of my subject matter is from the natural world – animals, birds, flowers – with occasional forays into landscapes and portraits. I prefer to concentrate on a detailed depiction of the subject allowing me to learn and explore the complexity of colours and textures.

In my working life I was an international conference organiser, travelling the world, but with little time to develop any artistic interests. Since retiring, I have developed my artistic skills and my house is now overflowing with paintings.
