June Dent

June Dent lives, draws and paints in Oxfordshire and has exhibited since 2020.  She is known for expressive representations of people, and for abstract land- and seascapes. She sketches most days and utilises quick life and figure drawings as the basis for abstracted studio paintings.  

She became a member of the OAS in 2024 when she also won the Broad Canvas Prize for multimedia portrait ‘Are You Ready?’ in the Oxford Art Society Members Exhibition.  She was highly commended for a landscape ‘Is this the End?’ in the Swire Art Prize Friends of the Ridgeway Exhibition 2025.  Her painting ‘Heavy Weighs the Crown’ was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2026 with the theme of Interconnectedness.
