Kathy Turner

My paintings are of places and landscapes that have inspired me, particularly coastal landscapes of Cornwall, NorthumberlandI and the Western Isles of Scotland.

I enjoy experimenting with a variety of media to create texture that I feel add interest and atmosphere to my work. I like to explore the interaction between different colour palettes and the richness that they can contribute to the effect of a painting.

I am not formally trained but I have benefitted greatly from participating in courses offered by several talented Oxford artists, particularly Jane Strother and Kieran Stiles.
