Sally-Anne Stewart

Working in my studio at the bottom of my garden I produce linocut prints inspired by nature and Oxford scenes. My work is is often inspired by the natural world, but also the places where people meet the environment, a rowing boat cutting across the surface of the water or swimmers at Oxford’s Hinksey Pool. I’ve found myself increasingly drawn to urban architecture, particularly 20th Century buildings, such as St Catherine’s College, Somerville College’s Margery Fry building, and Cowley Library.
