Sue Side OAS

Sue Side OAS has been elected as an Associate Member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art. Sue says: ‘The standard of work by the artists in this society is astonishing and I’m absolutely delighted to be joining them!’ The Society promotes fine drawing skills in both traditional and contemporary media. Today there are more than 130 elected members of the SGFA across the UK — professional artists from all areas of the art world who work in all drawing and printmaking media.

OAS Open Exhibition Private View

The Oxford Art Society Open Exhibition 2021 was opened at the private view on Sunday 22 August by Samson Kambalu.

Samson also selected the winners of the Young Artists Competition.

We hit a new record of 365 submissions from 214 artists (92 OAS members, 122 non-members). 212 artworks were selected for the exhibition, which runs until 5 September at the cloister gallery of St John the Evangelist on the Iffley Road.

Kevin Line at OAS Open Private View

OAS member Kevin Line spent some of lockdown producing a beautiful coffee table book of his much admired charcoal grisaille portraits.  He will be in the gallery for a book signing throughout the Private view on Sunday 22nd August 5-7pm.
