The Guest Selector’s Prize of £100 of Broad Canvas online vouchers to three artists (in no particular order) from our 2020 Open Exhibition.
Another piece chosen by Esther Lafferty for the Guest Selector’s prize is Yoga Pose 4 by Myrica Jones which is an ink drawing 59cm x 66cm. Congratulaitons. Esther Lafferty says: ‘This is an extraordinary piece: the way Myrica uses a simple line in a single colour to create a complex and three-dimensional form that has such strength and feeling is nothing short of amazing.’
Myrica said “I’m trying to capture the tension, power and strength within the sculptural figures I create. It’s an intense and very controlled process but it’s hugely therapeutic.”
