A few months ago Becky Paton (OAS Co-chair) was commissioned to lead a mosaic project at Wallingford Community Hospital in memory of Laura Farley. Laura was the daughter of Peter Farley, past chair of OAS and now an Honorary Member.
Laura was a valued member of the nursing team who lost her life far too early to cancer. In her memory, the day room on St Leonard’s Ward has been renamed ‘Laura’s day room’ and proudly displays the mosaic which was made by staff and patients.
The pictures show the mosaic with Peter and Raina Farley, taken at the opening celebration of Laura’s day room.
