I express Ideas through the celebrated techniques and traditions that have developed over millennia using the medium of British stone. By creating unique forms via this reductive process I aim to reflect and challenge thinking - whilst still celebrating a stone's heritage, heft, stability and longevity.
With an initial career divided between promoting our understanding of environmental issues and sculpture, I now enjoy working as a full-time Sculptor designing and creating my pieces as a response and comment on our treatment of each other and our environment.
Whilst I exhibit in a range of venues, as a resident stone sculptor at the prestigious Burford Garden Company I am immensely fortunate to share the vanguard with them of exhibiting both the process and outcome of sculpture in a busy commercial venue. This ‘life-style’ emporium with its national and international following, large and diverse Contemporary Art Gallery and huge footfall shares my environmental commitment to present contemporary ideas to the wider public.
