Lucy Hartley credits her celtic roots (having a Scottish mother and Irish father) for her fascination with remote and interesting landscapes. Working primarily with oil pastels and also mixed media she explores how such landscapes resonate with us all and how we relate to them. She lives in Oxford with her husband and three children.
