My approach to work is inspired by an emotional connection. This may be in response to a landscape or the vulnerability of the subject. This connection determines the choice of media and mark making. I strive to capture light and emotion and often incorporate collage or found organic materials into my work.  Whether working directly from life or in the studio, I layer and scratch away at the surface, until the finished image finally emerges.

I have a BA Hons in  Fine Art from Exeter College of Art and a Post Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy from Hertfordshire University. I moved to West Oxfordshire 38 years ago to work as an art therapist. I have a studio in my garden near Chipping Norton. I have exhibited in galleries in Oxfordshire, Devon and Cyprus and have had a solo exhibition near Dortmund in Germany.
