When I retired I was able to spend more time drawing and painting and started going to classes for the first time. Currently I draw in pencil and charcoal and paint in watercolour. I love painting Still Life.
Every day I draw something of what surrounds me. My dog, some flowers, a pot, a friend, a corner of the kitchen or my garden. It is a way of paying attention. Sometimes I draw quite precisely, sometimes loosely or blind or left-handed. When I paint I aim to transform what I have observed into a more abstract composition.
