I’m an impressionist artist from West Berkshire, painting mainly in acrylic but using watercolour and sepia crayon for my sketches. My work is influenced by the play of light and movement in a scene. I love to capture special or memorable moments in life and have been particularly inspired by my children and my experiences both travelling and living in the south of France.
I aim to recreate the spontaneity of a scene by developing paintings which flow around the canvas with a sense of movement and feeling. The vibrancy of everyday life inspires me. Many of my paintings capture the atmosphere I experienced when sitting down with a coffee and sketching the scenes around me.
