Jill is interested in movement and the dynamic of the figure in action. She tries to make the gestural line reflect the pose, working from photos during lockdown, or with models, who are still for small amounts of time. Mostly drawing, Jill layers her drawn marks, either in monochrome or with paints, trying to achieve a sense of the figure still moving - an optical illusion. Jill currently teaches a two-year drawing course with Adult Learning at Abingdon&Witney College.
