I am a portrait painter working in oils from my garden studio based in Wolvercote, Oxford.
In my portraits I believe it’s crucial to get an accurate physical likeness, then I try and use colour, mark making and composition to help describe the characters and personalities of my sitter. I work from a combination of photos and live sittings where possible.
